Identification Documents (ID Cards) Requirements

Acceptable identification documents needed to notarize documents in the State of California by a Notary are current government issued identification cards and must contain a photograph and signature of the bearer.

Among the IDs authorized for Notary are:

State Driver’s Licenses and official Non-driver’s IDs
U.S. passports
U.S. military IDs
Resident alien IDs or “green cards” issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Valid Current Foreign Passport

Expired or temporary identifications are not allowed. If you do not have a valid identification please contact us about other options.
